C3 Colloquium & Summit

IAFNR is collaborating with The CHARLI Collective at Life University to create more support for our doctors to expand case studies and clinical research related to Neuroplasticity, Childhood Neuro Development, and Brain Based Neurology.

April 16-18, 2027

The CHARLI Collective: Colloquium and Summit (C3 Summit)

Atlanta, GA located on the campus of Life University

C3 is more than a conference. It is a convergence point that brings students, clinicians, scientists, educators, and institutions together to advance clinical application, research, neuroscience, and collaborative leadership. The Summit is designed as an incubator for ideas—where conversations extend beyond lectures and into collaborations that shape the next decade of care. Clinicians and community members bring real world experience and help traditional researchers apply concepts that impact patient care.

  • Part of our mission is to help our practitioners, members with Certification in the Melillo Method® and Fellowship Doctors, through our IBFN division, to continue to learn and grow the body of work related to case studies and research projects in neuroplasticity and functional neurosciences.

  • Case studies in functional neurology are detailed, in-depth investigations of individual patients or small groups suffering from neurological symptoms that are not explained by structural damage or traditional organic disease. These cases often focus on "software" issues within the nervous system rather than "hardware" (structural) lesions, highlighting how the brain communicates and functions incorrectly. They are critical in this field for illustrating how non-invasive, neuroplasticity-based treatments can improve patient function.

  • Poster presentations are visual, concise summaries of research designed to spark, rather than conclude, conversations at conferences. They combine text, graphics, and data to provide a 5–10 minute "academic trailer" of work. Effective posters are readable from 10 feet away, prioritized by visuals, and, along with an engaging "elevator pitch," facilitate networking.

  • Peer mentoring can offer a valuable source of support and information to students, clinicians, and researchers, that work within the field of functional neurosciences. It offers IAFNR members and field practitioners specific training to bring your outstanding clinical results into a format to build publishable case studies, presentations to present your work to other professionals, as well as collaboration to build larger case studies and exposure.

Our Process

Submissions

Submit your abstract and information - website link/form opens June 1, 2026. You have through September 14, 2026 to submit.

Peer Review

The peer review process allows our team to review your submission and match you with mentors that can help you grow your ideas to the next level.

Posters & Presentations

Everyone would be notified by November 7, 2026 to define poster presentation or being part of a presentation panel.

Registration & Mentorship

Notification after the November 7, 2026 timeline allows for event registration by December 7, 2026. Mentorship process then begins January 2027.

Our 2025 Event

Our inaugural event created a wonderful mentorship process that has allowed our practitioners to create successful poster presentations, enhanced case study work, and publications that have been accepted to prestigious journals.

  • "I am SO thankful I was able to make it to the annual conference last fall. Everyone was SO kind, and I learned so much about the importance of doing the research and making it a part of my work. If I hadn’t attended, I wouldn’t not have known any of this and learned I could reach out for help and resources. I hope I can encourage others to attend who are in my position as a new practitioner and on the fence about going."

    Allison V.

  • "The mentorship provided through the review process was invaluable. I've been able to expand my work, and most importantly help clients out even more."

    Jessica K.

  • "Through the C3 mentorship process I've been able to start with a poster, expand this into a full case study paper, and have now been approved for full publication."
